1) Information We Collect

BigDose is designed to minimize data collection. Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Profile and health-related inputs you provide: display name, optional profile photo, Fitzpatrick skin type, biological sex, date of birth, height, weight, vitamin D goals, sunscreen habits, exposed skin area and related preferences.
• Sun, supplement, food and lab entries you create: sun session history, estimated vitamin D (IU), burn-risk (MED) context, supplement doses, food entries, lab results and daily progress summaries.
• Location (when allowed): approximate coordinates used to calculate local sun angle, weather and UV index. If location is denied, BigDose falls back to cached or approximate location.
• Optional Apple Health data (when you allow it): profile details, dietary vitamin D, outdoor workouts and Time in Daylight, used to autofill setup and estimate sunlight exposure history. Optional writes may include supplement doses you log and height/weight updates you confirm.
• Optional images you select: if you set a profile avatar, BigDose accesses only items you select through the system photo picker.

2) How We Use Information

• Provide core app functionality (vitamin D timing, live sun sessions, burn-risk context, progress tracking).
• Save your preferences, reminders and in-app settings.
• Fetch local weather, UV and sun-event data needed for timing and session estimates.
• Power widgets and Live Activities on your device when those features are enabled.
• Support optional export/import (Rescue File) and Apple Health sync features you initiate.

3) Data Storage

Most app data and settings are stored locally on your device. When you are signed into iCloud, BigDose may sync your app data through your private iCloud account so it can stay available across your devices. If you use export/import, files are created and shared at your direction.

4) Third-Party Services

BigDose uses Apple services to operate core features. Depending on permissions you grant, this may include:

• WeatherKit — weather, UV and sun-event data based on your location.
• MapKit — city-level location labels from coordinates.
• HealthKit — optional read/write of health data you authorize.
• CloudKit / iCloud — optional sync of your app data in your private iCloud container.

Those Apple services may process network metadata (such as IP address and request details) as part of delivering content. BigDose does not send your health or sun-session data to Cre8vPlanet Studios servers.

5) Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with service providers as needed to operate app features (for example, Apple weather, maps, Health and iCloud services).

6) Tracking and Advertising

BigDose does not use third-party ad SDKs for behavioral advertising and does not use App Tracking Transparency for cross-app tracking.

7) Children’s Privacy

BigDose is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address the issue.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Your Choices

• You can edit or delete sessions, doses, food entries and lab results in the app.
• You can turn off Health access, notifications and location in iOS Settings at any time.
• You can export a Rescue File or clear app data from within BigDose.
• You can manage iCloud sync by signing out of iCloud or managing iCloud storage for BigDose.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date above.
